Representatives from JOLT have contacted the Mayor and Councillors requesting the above item be deferred from the February Council meeting. The request is on the basis that JOLT would like to meet with Councillors to discuss its position and the value that its service provides as well as the findings of the community consultation process which was conducted for the locations proposed.
In response, the CEO and I met with JOLT representatives to discuss their request. Based on this discussion the following changes are proposed to the officer’s recommendation in the Council report:
That Council defer consideration of the outcome of public exhibition for the provision of electronic vehicle charging infrastructure to provide the proponent an opportunity to provide additional information to Council in support of the proposal.
Should you require any further information about matters raised in this memo please contact my office on 8495 6371.
